ROLE:

The primary responsibility of the Account Manager is to provide support to the Client Services team with the day-to-day management of accounts, including client-facing communications, budget management, project plan development and coordination, and mentoring junior team members. It may also include running smaller client accounts and/or programs, including but not limited to, assisting with account research, proposals, the upkeep of client files, direct facilitation between creative and technical resources, and the execution of strategic deliverables.

Critical success factors include: knowledge and curiosity about digital and traditional channels utilized by integrated marketing; ownership of the full project management process; ability to learn quickly and multi-task; and excellent, proactive communication skills internally and externally.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DAY TO DAY TASKS:

Account Management

  • Development of opportunity briefs, creative briefs, and other discovery/kick-off materials
  • Maintain status reports and ongoing communication with client and teams
  • Lead client status meetings, including owning status reports and follow-up/feedback mechanisms
  • Develop and distribute meeting notes, outlining key takeaways, action items, and next steps
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Brown Bag Marketing’s service offerings and how they can be tailored to meet client goals

Project Planning and Execution

  • Participate in internal program kickoff meetings, including “solution selling” to creative and technical resources to generate excitement around new initiatives
  • Ensure all internal resources are fully aware of assigned brands’ strategies, are equipped to succeed, and are aware of changes in scope, priority, or approach
  • Ensure all required assets, infrastructure, and supplies are readily available for internal resrouces
  • Develop all project plans and timelines, including key milestones, critical path activities, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Provide counsel to client at major milestones during project delivery, having an informed point of view at all times
  • Ensure quality standards for all client deliverables/elements before final delivery and production

Budget Planning and Management

  • Appropriately and accurately assign hours and resources to meet the needs of developed project plans
  • Assist in the creation and routing of change orders, POs, SOWs, and proposals

Culture & Team Advancement

  • Maintain professional relationships that meet team, department, and company core values
  • Participate in company meetings and positively contribute to the development and advancement of high-performing teams
  • Upholds a feedback culture by giving and receiving constructive feedback

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 3+ years relevant work experience, digital agency and project management experience required
  • Strong verbal, written and client communication skills, analytical thinking, personal organization and interpersonal dynamics
  • Attentive to detail, action-oriented and able to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere
  • Thrive in a client-facing role (strong client service orientation) and possess a professional and accommodating demeanor
  • Resourceful and pleasant to work with
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or a related field
